I hate you, tube strike
Forty-eight hour tube strike.
My normal 30 min. tube ride is supposed to take me an hour tomorrow according to the journey planner online. But you see, EVERYONE is riding the bus or driving which means traffic is terrible. And then when a bus comes, you can’t get on because the bus is so packed.
So basically, you spend an hour waiting for a bus before you get on a vehicle that is at a complete stand still.
Thrilling.
And on top of that, you have to get on the right bus. I can barely do this on a normal day. I’ve only ridden a bus a few times, but the times I have, about 50 percent of the time I got on the right bus going the wrong way.
I didn’t have to mess with it today because it was my day off, but I did walk 45 minutes to and from Trafalgar Square…before today I didn’t know it was physically possible to walk to Trafalgar Square from my flat.
But yes, tomorrow should be fun. I have tickets to review Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens tomorrow night…that’s if I can get there. God help us all.
